Through his work with the BC Brain Wellness Program and the UBC Physical Therapy Research Clinic, Tyler has gained extensive experience supporting individuals living with neurological conditions, including:

  • Parkinson’s disease
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Stroke recovery
  • Other mobility-related neurological conditions

During his time at the UBC Physical Therapy Research Clinic, Tyler also became certified to deliver the Fitness and Mobility Exercise (FAME) program for individuals recovering from stroke.

Tyler uses current, evidence-based research to create personalized active rehabilitation programs that are safe, practical, and tailored to each client’s abilities and goals.

Additional Areas of Practice

In 2024, Tyler worked with the Pacific Northwest Division of Family Practice and CHANGE BC, where he helped develop exercise prescriptions for individuals living with metabolic syndrome.

His varied clinical background allows him to work with clients of different ages, abilities, and health needs. Whether a client is working toward greater strength, improved mobility, increased independence, or a return to meaningful activities, Tyler provides guidance that reflects their individual goals.

Treatment Philosophy

Tyler believes that every client should be treated as an individual and included as an active, equal partner in their care.

He takes the time to listen, understand each person’s priorities, and work collaboratively with them to develop a treatment plan that is:

  • Personalized
  • Evidence-based
  • Safe and effective
  • Realistic and enjoyable

His goal is to ensure that every client feels heard, respected, and supported throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Outside the Clinic

Outside of work, Tyler enjoys hiking, camping, and making music.

Before becoming a kinesiologist, he was a touring musician and the vocalist for a local metal band, performing at venues across Canada.
